As public policies turn towards greenhouse gas reduction, industrial project owners in the Somme innovate in launching a biomass power station.
KOGEBAN : Biomass Cogeneration Aijinomoto Nesle – this is the name of the company newly created by Aijinomoto Foods Europe and Opeos, in Nesle. KOGEBAN will be in charge of managing this power station project.
Fueled with wood and straw, the station is to produce 16 MW electricity, i.e. the equivalent of the consumption of a 50,000 inhabitants town. Syral also supports the project.
The commissioning is planned for 2011.
