Companies which choose to set up in the Somme can benefit from a favourable environment in terms of investment and development subsidies. Indeed, as long as your project fits European requirements, you can benefit from AFR (special regional assistance) subsidies and/or a specific national bonus (PAT).
What is PAT (specific bonus for local development)?
At national level, the “PAT” is one of the sole devices enabling direct subsidies for investments made by companies. It aims at helping two types of projects: on the one hand for the setting up, extensions or revival of industrial and services companies that are located in the AFR zones (> PAT “Industry and Services”), on the other hand for the research & development and innovation of industrial and services companies on mainland France (PAT “Research Development Innovation”).
The eligibility of your application for PAT depends on a minimum investment and employment generated (variable depending on project type). Applications are processed by a ministerial delegation (DIACT).
What is AFR (" Aides à finalité régionale ")?
Companies which set up or develop in a town belonging to AFR zoning can benefit from several public subsidies :
- PAT "Industry and Services"
- Subsidies for business real estate, by local bodies (L1511-3 CGCT)
- Subsidies for investment and employment, by local bodies (L1511-2 CGCT)
- Professional tax exemption (1465 CGI).
Somme Développement can give you more information on these devices and be at your side to help you apply.
